Kashid is a recent popular offbeat tourist destination in Maharashtra. Situated in the Konkan region of Maharashtra. it is placed between two rocky hills.

White sands, greenery, blue seas, hardly any tourists around - it makes a perfect place for a weekend gateaway.

Nearest Destination Near Alibaug/ Bombay

Ways to reach this place :By road, it takes around 4 hours.But it is a beautiful drive. Or take a ferry from Bombay- Gateway of India till Naugaon. From there a bus or a rick- 2 1/2 hours to reach.

Plus points: pleasant weather blue saes, white sands peace clean beach

Minus points : none actually. coz you get to be away from everything and enjoy nature in its true form.
But this place might not be recommended during monsoons. SO do enquire before going.

Recommended places to stay : Many hotels; budget hotels, cottages & resorts.

Nearby places to visit are Murud, Janjira fort, Alibaug.

Bandipur - Wildlife Santuary

Nearest Destination : Mysore/ Ooty

Ways to reach this place :

Plus points : Jungle Safari in open jeeps inside the park.
Keep looking out for for tigers, elephants, sloth bear, four horned antelope, Sambar Chithal, Gaur etc
Well, I could seeo nly crows, deers, soem birds and was disappointed in coming so far and not abel to see Sambar. But, towards the end, when we were approaching the main road, we saw Sambar exactly for 30 seconds!!! total vasool.
Resort was very nice, beautiful swimming pool, unique rooms.

Minus points : Dont expect to see "wildlife".


Recommended places to stay: Jungle hut/ Tusker Trail, jungle cottages etc.
2-3 days recommended.

I have awesome awesome memories of this places. Its nothing to do with the jungle :D
